Target group and content
This radiation protection course is aimed at staff who take x-rays and veterinarians who prescribe x-ray examinations with the aim of fulfilling the requirements of the Radiation Protection Act for documented and completed training (SSMFFS 2018:1, 2018:2).
The duration of the course is approximately 1.5 hours and includes a review of the legal text, X-ray physics, risks with ionizing radiation and practical tips to reduce secondary radiation for the staff. The course is divided into seven parts where each part is followed by some knowledge questions. The training ends with a final test.

9:00 – 9:45 Introduction to endoscopy, preparations (AS) and examination procedure (CH)
9:45 – 10:30 The path to the duodenum and ulcer (CH)
10:30 – 10:45 Coffee
10:45 – 11:15 The road to the ileum (AS)
11:15 – 11:45 Foreign bodies
11:45 – 12:30 Biopsy interpretation (RG/CH)
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch
13:30 – 6:00 p.m. Practical exercises in small groups -A total of 5 stations below
